Fencing & Woodwork
Here at Dominic Richards our team are full qualified and experienced in Fencing and Woodwork and we pride ourselves on the exceptional finish with every job we complete.
Whether you just want a basic border to your property, animal proofing or something more impressive. We can supply and fit ready made fencing or build bespoke to fit awkward areas of the Garden and add a very individual feel.
Here are just some of the services we offer:
Panel Fencing – Panel fencing comes in various heights and widths. The panels are made from strips of wood attached to vertical stiffeners.
Picket Fencing – Pales are rarely more than 3 to 4 foot high and are attached to 2 horizontal rails. The bottom of the pales should be 2 to 3 inches above the ground to avoid rotting.
Post and Rail Fencing – Post and rail fencing is often seen surrounding horse paddocks or on agricultural land. It is an ideal fencing for keeping something in or keeping something out.
Chestnut Paling – This fencing is bought in a roll – the chestnut stakes are bound together by horizontal lengths of twisted wire. It is not a particularly attractive fence but it is cheap and easy to erect. It can be camouflaged easily by planting shrubs in front of it.
Trellis – Trellis is made up of thin strips of wood (laths) arranged in a diamond or square pattern – it’s main use is to support climbing plants. It can be employed as an internal boundary fence.
Wire Fencing – Wire fencing is generally used to keep Dogs, Livestock, Rabbits, Horses and even Humans in or out of a certain area. It is attached to wooden posts, which are used to support and straign the wire. This enables the wire to be tight and secure.
